SANBI Graphics & Editing is a products-oriented, graphic design, botanical art and editing services unit founded on a fully qualified and skilled staff complement. The unit provides a diverse range of high quality print and electronic media to SANBI staff at all levels as well as external clients.
SANBI Graphics & Editing produces the biennial journal Flowering Plants of Africa as well as the three SANBI monograph series: SANBI Biodiversity Series, Strelitzia and the newest addition to the range, Suricata, which focusses on zoological rather than botanical research. Ad hoc publications as well as information and marketing material are also produced at the request of SANBI divisions, programmes and projects.

Also available from the SANBI Bookshop are printed copies of the Trees of the Year posters that are produced annually before August, in time for Arbour Day 1 September. The posters are freely available at no cost, but postage or courier costs are payable.
