General notes: Alt. 838m. Plants common on these slopes, this a stand well in excess of 300 plants, in rocky ground with quartzitic sand and gravel, peaty accumulate. Plants adult, single-stemmed, woody, erect, well-branched, up to 450mm tall. Flowers calycine, deep pink, just going over. Growing in assoc. with Elegia persistens, Erica hispidula, labialis, lutea, Hypodiscus aristatus and Leucadendron xanthoconus, in low dense Restioid Ericoid vegetation. Scattered Pinus and Hakea. Kogelberg Sandstone Fynbos.
