Description :

  • Small terrestrial herbs, with root tubers
  • Leaf solitary, basal, elliptic
  • Inflorescence subcapitate with few flowers, slightly drooping; flowers white with pale pink petals and lip; bracts lanceolate, somewhat longer than ovary
  • Sepals subequal, narrowly elliptic
  • Petals oblong-ovate, obtuse, less than half as long as sepals
  • Lip subpandurate, unspurred, basal portion narrow and saccate, apical portion with two minute side lobes
  • Gynostemium : anther thecae slightly reflexed, parallel and adjacent, anther canals absent; pollinia 2, sectile, with separate viscidia; stigma concave, with short process
