  • Corolla bilabiate; tube narrowly cylindrical at base, widening upwards, straight or curved; upper lip obscurely 4-lobed, lower lip larger, concave, entire or toothed near apex
  • Stamens didynamous, arising in corolla mouth, declinate, usually lying in lower corolla lip; filaments free; anthers confluent, 1-thecous
  • Style shortly 2-fid, exserted beyond stamens
  • Nutlets orbicular or ovoid, flattened, smooth
