  • Stamens 6; filaments without appendages
  • Nectaries 6, small
  • Fruit a short, oblong or ellipsoid siliqua; valves 1-nerved; beak broad, flat, seedless
  • Seeds spherical or ovoid, in 2 rows; cotyledons folded longitudinally around incumbent radicle
