  • Calyx 5-lobed
  • Petals much longer than calyx, white sometimes tinged pink
  • Staminal tube bearing anthers ± throughout, truncate at apex
  • Gynoecium 5-locular with 1 ovule per locule; style branches as many as carpels, filiform; stigmas capitate
  • Fruit a 5-angled, depressed-globose, loculicidally dehiscent capsule
  • Seeds reniform, with dense brown hairs
  • x = 17 (1 report)
