  • Corolla bilabiate, 5-lobed, glabrous; tube cylindric, split down one side almost to base; upper lip of 2 linear, acuminate lobes; lower lip of 3 oblong lobes
  • Stamens arising from base of corolla tube; filaments connate into a tube; anthers cohering, bearded
  • Ovary cylindric, elongate, with many ovules on axile placentas; style linear, glabrous; stigma subglobose, slightly bifid, glandular-hairy
  • Capsule 1-celled, 3-valved, linear, triquetrous
  • Seeds many, ovoid
