  • Corolla white or mauve; tubular, widening gradually upwards; lobes 5, shorter than tube, glandular-hairy
  • Anthers linear, blunt at base; with or without small, apical appendage
  • Style branches long, dilated above, obtuse, sometimes subpetaloid, papillose on outer surface
  • Cypselas 3- or 5-angled
  • Pappus of 3 or 5 short, rigid gland-tipped processes
