Description:

  • Shrublets up to ± 1 m high, cushion-shaped, gnarled, densely leafy, subsucculent, resiniferous
  • Leaves mostly clustered on short, lateral shoots, pinnate to bipinnate, with sheathing base, thick, fleshy, bright green, with sunken glands
  • Flowers in dense, compound, bracteate umbels; secondary umbels capitate; some central flowers sterile
  • Calyx with ovate-triangular teeth 1.0-1.5 mm long
  • Corolla lobes green, with brownish apex
  • Fruit broadly ovoid, 4-5 mm long, up to ± 2 mm thick; mericarps halfmoon-shaped, with minute, mealy indumentum; oil ducts 5, intrajugal, absent on face; carpophore unbranched
