  • Calyx 5-parted; segments ovate, with keel on inner face
  • Petals 5, shorter than calyx, spatulate, clawed
  • Disc tumid
  • Stamens 5, as long as petals, inserted outside disc
  • Ovary immersed in disc, 2-locular, with a solitary, basal ovule in each locule; style thick, conical, 2-lobed; stigmas glandulose
  • Fruit a drupe, ellipsoid; endocarp woody
  • x = 12
