Plants fairly robust, to 300 mm; leaves numerous, lanceolate, attenuate, to 120 x 24 mm. Inflorescences dense, to c. 110 mm, numerous-flowered; bracts very broadly ovate, acute, deflexed, longitudinally striped, to c. 30 x 13 mm. Flowers c. 18 x 8 mm, not resupinate, green, lip striped dark maroon. Median sepal ovate, obtuse, 5-5.5 x 3-3.5 mm; lateral sepals saccate, acute, 7-8 x 3 mm. Petals similar to the lateral sepals, saccate, acute, c. 7-8 x 3 mm. Lip broadly oblong, acute, c. 7 x 3 mm; appendage oblong, emarginate, c. 5 x 2 mm. Stigma lobes ovate, c. 1 mm long, behind lip appendage; rostellum c. 1 mm tall, arms c. 2 mm long, curving around the base of the lip appendage. From: Kurzweil, H; Linder, HP. 1999.
