Always growing solitary. Rosette: acaulescent, 55-70 mm diam. Leaves: numerous, 40-60, fleshy, erect, curved inwards, 22-35 mm long, 11-14 mm broad, 3-4 mm thick. Leaf colour: pale greyish brown. Margins: translucent, teethed. Teeth: translucent, 7-9 per cm, 1-2 mm long. Back with 1-2 teethed keels. Teeth: translucent, 7-9 per cm, 1-2 mm long. The flowers, which resemble a great deal the flowers of H. pehlemanniae and H. globosiflora, yet with slightly longer petals and the tube being less globose than those of the former species.
