Young branches finely sericeous or densely so. Leaves narrowly elliptic to elliptic or narrowly ovate to ovate, 1/b-ratio 2.2-3.7(-4.1). Inflorescence-axes glandular puberulous from short non-capitate glands and larger capitate glands and ± scattered long non-glandular hairs; corolla-tube 9-13 mm long; capsule puberulous or sparsely so all over or apically only (at least always on apical peg); seed 5-6 x 4-5 mm. Shrub, up to 1.25 m high. Hairs on young branches appressed. Inflorescence axes with noncapitate glandular hairs and longer capitate glands. Bracts with capitate glands up to 0.5 mm or absent; with 2-6 mm long acumen. Flowers in numerous pairs; corolla tube 9-13 mm long. Capsule puberulous or sparsely so all over or apically only.
