Shrubby, glaucous, creeping herb, 0.01-0.05 m high; branches ascending. Leaves alternate, opposite or crowded into axillary fascicles, linear, subcylindrical, ± fleshy, with wart-like glands; stipules triangular, arising from expanded, membranous margins of leaf bases. Inflorescences axillary, 4-8-flowered umbels; peduncles up to 100 mm long; pedicels up to 20 mm long. Perianth segments 5, the outer 2 or 3 subsucculent, the inner narrower, membranous, greenish or whitish (purple). Staminodes 0. Stamens 5. Stigmas 3-5, short. Flowering time Dec.-Apr.
