Morphological description

Densely tufted perennial 800-1500 mm high. Leaf blade 350 x 3-5 mm. Inflorescence spike-like or narrowly conical, branches short, adpressed to somewhat spreading below. Spikelet 4.0-4.5 mm long, woolly, awnless; glumes ± equal; lower glume 2/3 as long as spikelet; upper glume not gibbous; anther 2.3-2.6 mm long. From: Mashau, AC. 2015. Tarigidia Stent.
