A stocky, densely leafy shrub, ca. 1.50 m tall. Branches woody, tomentose. Branchlets, leaves, calyx and ovary covered with a dense, appressed, silvery pubescence. Branchlets slender, densely leafy; leaf scars prominent. Leaves erect to spreading, subsessile, ovate or elliptic, acute, the midrib prominent beneath, 5.0-9.0 x 2.2-6.0 mm, flat or somewhat concave, leaf margins slightly thickened. Inflorescences 1-flowered. Flowers small, dull light and dark mauve, axillary, sessile, concealed among the leaves. Bract subulate, acute, sericeous, 1.2-2.8 x 0.3-0.5 mm. Calyx sericeous, 3.5-5.2 mm, receptacular part 0.5-0.6 mm; calyx lobes narrow triangular, attenuate, the ventral lobe slightly the longest; upper dorsal lobes joined to 1.0-1.5 mm from their apices, lower lobes 2.0-2.5 mm. Vexillum lamina pink or light mauve, quadrate-orbicular, 4.2-5.0 x 3.3-4.8 mm, emarginate, with short incurved auricles; claw 1.2-2.5 mm. Ala blades light mauve, oblong, obtuse, 3.5-4.5 x 1.2-1.8 mm; claws 2.2-3.0 mm. Carina blades dark mauve on the apical 2/3, lighter for the part basally, cymbiform, 3.5-3.9 x 1.3-1.8 mm with a prominent basal puckering; claws 2.2-2.8 mm. Stamens 5.0-6.2 mm; staminal tube 2.8-3.8 mm; anthers subequal 0.3-0.5 mm. Pistil 5.3-6.2 mm long; ovary uni-ovulate, sericeous; style glabrous. Pod 5.5-7.0 x 3.2-4.0 mm, 1-seeded, sericeous.
