PLANTAE / PHANEROGAMAE / ANTHOPHYTA / ASTERALES / ASTERACEAE / ASTEROIDEAE / GNAPHALIEAE / OEDERA / CALYCINA / APICULATA
Stems sparsely branched, usually long and slender, often up to 1 m high. Leaves ± straight, narrowly elliptic-oblong, quite glabrous (occasionally dorsally and marginally very laxly pilose with deciduous hairs). From: Bremer, K. 1976. The genus Relhania (Compositae). Opera Bot. 40: 1-85. [All rights reserved] As: Relhania calycina (L.f.) L'Her. subsp. apiculata (DC.) K.Bremer
This subspecies has generally long and slender and often few-branched stems with quite glabrous leaves, although specimens from Great Swartberg have a ± deciduous indumentum of loose hairs dorsally and on the margins of the leaves. The plants of this subspecies also seem to have slightly longer and thus more slender florets, but the size and shape of the heads do not differ significantly from the other subspecies. From: Bremer, K. 1976. The genus Relhania (Compositae). Opera Bot. 40: 1-85. [All rights reserved] As: Relhania calycina (L.f.) L'Her. subsp. apiculata (DC.) K.Bremer
Ssp. apiculata, hitherto known as Relhania apiculata (DC.) Harv., occurs from Cedarbergen along Witteberg to Swartberg. From: Bremer, K. 1976. The genus Relhania (Compositae). Opera Bot. 40: 1-85. [All rights reserved] As: Relhania calycina (L.f.) L'Her. subsp. apiculata (DC.) K.Bremer
