Well-shaped shrubs or small trees, leaves almost always alternate, main primary veins usually 6-9, up to 12, ascending at an angle of about 25°-50°, hairs, if present, simple sometimes gland-tipped. Shrub or small tree, up to 5 m high. Leaves ovate to narrowly ovate, up to 120 x 40 mm, hairy. Flowers shorter than 10 mm. Cymes usually many-flowered. Capsule 5-6 mm long. Flowers cream.
