Morphological description

Perennial, gregarious, succulent geophyte, 0.6-1.8 m high; bulbilliferous, bulb often exposed, green. Leaves 8-12, spreading, lanceolate, 0.4-1.0 m long, flaccid. Inflorescence a many-flowered, dense raceme with long-attenuate bracts; pedicels 5-15 mm long; flowers white with broad, green keels; tepals ± 9 mm long. Stamens: filaments ovate-acuminate or with short basal extensions. Flowering time Aug.-May. Fruit a globose to trigonous capsule, 10 mm long. From: Bredenkamp, CL. 2019. Hyacinthaceae.
