Morphological description

Suffrutex valde ramosus glanduloso-puberulus; rami foliis decurrentibus anguste alata, alis hinc inde denticulatis; folia parva oblonga basi lata sessilia, apice acuta mucronata, margine sinuato-dentata; capitula parvula pedunculata, in panicula laxa foliis reductis bracteata disposita; involucri hemispaerici bracteae exteriores lanceolatae recurvae, interiores longiores erectae lineares in aristam excurrentes, post anthesin stellato-patentes; flores 'female' lemniscate seriatae filiformes, 'hermaph.' numerosae, antheris basi muticis, stylo generis. Herb, up to 1 m high, glandular. Stems winged. Leaves lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, sessile, margins dentate. Heads less than 10 mm in diameter. Flowers mauve; June and September to October.
