Herba annua vel saltern suffrutex in anno primo florens; caules erecti, lignosi primo griseo-tomentosi, tandem glabrescentes et rubidi, circa 100 cm. alti, erecti, infra simplices, supra ramis erectis: folia caulina 17-30 x 7-12 mm., ovato-lanceolata, obtusa, utrinque argenteo-sericea, inferioribus tandem viridescentibus et sparse appresso-pilosis, sessilibus et amplexicaulibus: capitula ramos foliosos terminantia sessilia, multifiora; bracteae involucrales foliis caulinis similes: calycis tubus circa 20 mm. longus, parte persistente circa 7 mm. longa, pilis longis albis ascendentibus pubescente; calycis lobi 2-3 mm. longi: petala minuta.
