Plants erect, 0.08-0.25 m high, with numerous small globular inflorescences in the upper axils and terminal. Leaves 5-8(-15) mm long, all about equal in length or rarely slightly shorter towards apex of plant. Squamae abruptly constricted towards base, more or less stalked.
