General notes: Alt. 80 m. S aspect. Moderate slope. TMG - sandstone and quartz pebbles. Well-drained grey brown sandy loam stony soil. Burnt 18 months ago. Acocks Veld Type Fynbos vegetation. Occasional. Evergreen perennial erect. Purple flowers. 0.30 m high. Plant with long stem, then branching and rebranching from seed after fire. Leaves linear, hairy, course and alternate, flowers with a light-yellow centre.
