Plants stout, (110-) 200-420 (-560) mm tall; leaves 2, adpressed to the ground, ovate-elliptic, acute to rotund, obtuse, 40-160 mm long. Inflorescences dense, (8-) 11-37 (-64) -flowered; bracts partly to fully deflexed, 1.8-3.5 times the length of the 6-14 mm long ovary. Flowers pale to deep pink with darker tinges and spots on the petals. Sepals and petals '/3 fused to the sides of the lip, then gradually curving downwards. Lip spurs normally shorter than the ovary, 5-11 mm long. Stigma flap broadly ovate, 2-3 mm long; rostellum shorter than the stigma, 1-1.5 mm long, with 2 parallel arms. Some corms up to 4 x 2 cm cylindrical shaped. Fruit absent. Plant height with flower head: 12 cm.
