Morphological description

Shrub, 1.0-2.4 m high. Branches spreading, glandular-hairy, twigs sticky to touch. Leaves 3-nate; ascending or spreading, light green; blade linear-oblong, 1.5-2.0 mm long, minutely gland-denticulate on margins. Flowers: 1-3 together, terminal; pedicels 0.8-1.5 mm long, glabrous or hairy; no bracts; anthers 0.8 mm long, bifid to 1/2-way down, included, without awns, filaments 0.2 mm long and free; style ± as long as corolla, included; stigma peltate, orbicular, 1 mm in diameter; ovary globose, 4-grooved, glabrous; calyx up to 1 mm long, leathery, broadly ovate, subacute and grooved down back, with minute gland-ciliate margin, hairy; corolla globe- or bell-shaped, 1.0 x 1.4 mm, 4-lobed for ± half its length, glabrous, white, soon turning brown or pale green; Oct.-Dec.
