Leaves 37-105 x 19-45 mm, mesic. Bracts: tertiary bracts 8.6-12.8 x 1.1-1.2 mm, aristate, aristae 3.7-5.7 mm. Shrub, up to 1.5 m high. Inflorescence appearing verticillate; bracts aristate. Flowers 18-23 mm, corolla pubescent, lip in lower position narrowly elliptic. Calyx 4-lobed, tube 1.5-4.0 mm long. This variety is easily distinguished from the others by its smaller white flowers and smaller fruits. The inflorescences are less dense than those of the typical variety.
