Morphological description

Dwarf shrub, ('bisexual'), ('female') or occasionally ('bisexual') + ('female') or ('female') + ('male'), several-stemmed, decumbent or sometimes cushion-forming. Stems 100-200(-250) mm long, ± much branched, densely leafy. Leaves: blades (6-)8-12(-15) x 0.8-1.5(-2.0) mm, linear-lanceolate to narrowly oblanceolate, ± erect, ± triangular in section or ± flat and with a prominent midrib below. Flowers solitary, ± sessile, fruiting pedicels elongating to c. 1 mm; calyx lobes 2.5-4.0 mm long; ('bisexual'), ('male'): tube 1-2(-2.5) mm long, lobes 2.5-4.0(-5.0) x 0.8-1.2 m; anthers 1.5-2.5 mm long. ('Female'): tube 0.3-0.5(-1.0) mm long; lobes 0.5-0.8 x 0.2-0.3(-0.5) mm, often hidden between calyx lobes; stigmas 2(rarely 1), 5-9 mm long; ovary c. 1.0-1.5(-2) mm long. Habitat
