Morphological description

Shrubby-carnose, glabrous; branches repeatedly forked, leafy at the tips; leaves tufted, oblongo-spathulate, obtuse or retuse, coriaceous, rigid, tapering at base into a 3-nerved petiole, obsoletely veiny; ped. 1 or several, terminal, 1-headed, equalling the leaves; invol. scales 5-6, oblong, acute, concrete at base only; achenes silky. Diagnostic description

A fleshy shrub, with the general aspect and foliage of Othonna arborescens. In gen. char. it precisely agrees with other species of Doria. From: Harvey, WH. 1865. Compositae.
