Plants slender to fairly robust, leafy in the centre with a rather bare lower part, 280-700 mm; leaves cauline, 8-15, spreading, acute, 80-160 x 20-37 mm, the upper 2-3 smaller, lanceolate, acuminate. Inflorescences lax, many-flowered; bracts lanceolate, acuminate, to 15 mm long; pedicel 2-4 mm long, ovary curved, 6-12 mm long. Flowers green. Median sepal erect, concave, broadly elliptic to ovate, obtuse, 3.5-5.5 mm long; lateral sepals deflexed, obliquely ovate to lanceolate, subacute, 3.5-6 mm long. Petals bipartite nearly to the base; upper lobe erect, narrowly oblong, as long as the median sepal and adherent to it; lower lobe ascending, linear, slightly longer and narrower than the upper, 4-6.5 mm long. Lip tripartite from near the base, lobes linear, acute, 4-6.5 mm long; midlobe broader and usually shorter than the side lobes; spur somewhat thickened in the middle then tapering, 8-15 mm long. Anther emarginate, c. 1.5 mm tall; canals c. 1 mm long; stigmatic processes narrowly clavate, adpressed to the lip, 1.5-2 mm long; central rostellum lobe triangular, c. 0.5 mm long. Terrestrial herb, geophyte, slender, 0.28-0.70 m high; with globose root tubers. Leaves several to many, cauline, elliptic, membranous, spreading, 70-120 x 20-40 mm. Inflorescence lax, racemose; flowers 12-30, resupinate, green, centre whitish. Sepals unequal. Petals divided, spreading; lower anterior lobes, 4-6 mm long, longer and narrower than posterior lobe.
