Morphological description

Shrub, 0.9-1.2 m high. Corolla lobes up to 9-15 mm long. Corona 3.0-5.5 mm high, lobes sometimes very deeply grooved on upper surface so as to appear paired. Follicles mostly in pairs, fusiform. General notes: Open Mopani Woodland. River sand. Well-drained. Full sunlight. Flat slope. Disturbed area. Erect shrublet 1,5 m tall with a milky latex. The flowers are yellowish green. The flower buds are round and open into cup-shaped flowers. The leaves are opposite each other, they lack a petiole. Abundant where occuring.
