Many-stemmed shrub up to 1 m tall, sprouting from a woody rootstock after fire. Leaves alternate, elliptic to almost circular, flat, often concave, densely pubescent to tomentose on both surfaces, glabrescent. Inflorescences borne along main branches; peduncle absent. Bracts linear, 2.5-7.5 mm long. Pedicel 2-4 mm long. Bracteoles minute, caducous. Calyx not intrusive at base; lobes acuminate to acute, slightly longer than the tube; carinal lobe as long as lateral lobes; densely pubescent. Wing petals not auriculate; pocket conspicuous on the outer surface. Ovary with 5-8 ovules; densely pubescent. Pods laterally compressed; densely tomentose. Seeds green, not mottled.
