Branches minutely downy; leaves petiolate, narrow-linear, obtuse, with revolute margins, glabrous and smooth above, shortly pubescent beneath; flowers equalling or shorter than the petiole; bracts hemispherical, smooth, bifid, compressed below the fissure; nuts? Not unlike a small leaved specimen of G. stricta. From the preceding it is distinguished by the evidently petiolate, very small and longer leaves. Branches glabrescent. Leaves 1 inch long, 1/2 line wide, not dilated at the base; petiole 1 line long. Flowers exactly as in G. rosmarinifolia; fruit unknown. From: Harvey, WH; Sonder, OW. 1862. General notes: Moderate mountain slope. Well-drained, sandy loam soil. Aspect: W. TMG-sandstone (humus-rich). Burnt two years ago. Fynbos vegetation. Recently burnt. Occasional. Evergreen perennial erect shrub. Plant height: 0.73m. Long stem, then branching and rebranching (from seed) plant hairy, leaves hairy, opposite and decussate. Linear and somewhat involuted and hairy below, calyx red-brown. Flowers white. No fruit.
