Leaves leathery, densely scaly, grey, petiolate; blade decurrent, broadly obovate to elliptic, apex obtuse, margins sinuate-dentate, grey-green; petioles up to 10 mm long. Flowers: male in glomerules, arranged in panicles; female in compact clusters, arranged in panicles; fruiting bracteoles sessile, orbicular, margins appressed or slightly spreading, membranous all over, dull yellow or pinkish; Feb.-Apr.
