Morphological description

Plants 75-195 mm tall; leaves linear-lanceolate, conduplicate, numerous, imbricate, 50-140 (-220) mm long. Inflorescences slender cylindrical, 29-180 mm long, usually longer than the leafy shoot; flowers numerous, imbricate; bracts as tall as or overtopping the flowers. Flowers with dull green petals and lip, and rusty-red to green sepals. Median sepal shallowly galeate, oblong, obtuse, 3-5 (-7) mm long; spur triangular in cross-section, constricted at the base, apex obtuse to refuse, (1-) 2-3 (-4) mm long; lateral sepals oblong-ovate, subobtuse to rounded, patent, 3-5 (-7) mm long. Petals narrowly oblong, subfalcate, 2.5-5 (-7) mm long, rounded to rarely acute. Lip pendent, narrowly oblong to oblanceolate, rounded, 2.5-5 (-7) mm long, apex fleshy. Terrestrial herb, geophyte, 0.08-0.35 m high. Leaves many, imbricate, linear-lanceolate, 50-140 mm long. Slender, tuberous geophyte to 20 cm. Leaves linear-lanceolate, imbricate.
