Morphological description

Densely tufted perennial to 1000 mm high; rhizomatous; culm finely striated. Leaf blade to 450 x 3-4 mm; old leaves reddish brown. Inflorescence narrow; spikelets few. Spikelet 50-60 mm long (including awns); glumes reddish brown; lemma lateral awns about the same length as central awn; awns flattered; callus obtuse. From: Fish, L. 2015. Sartidia De Winter.
