Semisucculent shrublet to 60 cm. Leaves round, leathery to succulent, glaucous to 5 cm diam. Bushy, much-branched shrublet, 0.2-0.6 m high; branches sparsely leaved, slender, smooth, rather succulent. Leaves glabrous, lamina obovate, 10-65 x 10-50 mm, base cuneate, glaucous-green, somewhat fleshy, margins red, coarsely crenate. Stipules obliquely ovate, at base of relatively short petioles. Inflorescences unbranched; peduncles of varying lengths, bearing 2-7-flowered pseudo-umbels; pedicel, hypanthium and calyx covered with long, glandular hairs. Sepals 5, imbricate, connate at base, apex sometimes reflexed. Petals 5, long and narrow, salmon-pink to white; posterior 2 erect. Flowering time all year.
