Morphological description

Like P. articulatum but with a ± globose vertical tuber, leaf margin dentate to shallowly lobed, petals white to cream-coloured, unmarked other than faintly tinged with pink near base, and upper 2 slightly broader than lower 3 (vs. upper 2 more than 2 times as wide as lower 3).
