  • Leaves alternate, petiolate, deltoid-ovate in outline, 3-5-lobed on either side, base cordate, auriculate, palmately veined
  • Capitula discoid, in corymbose panicles
  • Involucre calyculate, narrowly campanulate; bracts 8
  • Disc florets bisexual, fertile; corolla yellow
  • Anthers ecalcarate, caudate; endothecial tissue radial
  • Cypselas oblong, ribbed
  • Pappus of many fine bristles
