  • Ovary on a well-developed gynophore, 1-locular, appearing multilocular owing to development of spurious dissepiments from 6-10 placentas, multiovulate; stigma sessile
  • Fruit ellipsoid or oblong, with 8-10 longitudinal ribs
  • Seeds many
